This wrestling mom thanks you for developing this amazing product! The swelling in my son's ear went down within hours. It's comfortable enough for him to wear under his headgear and allows him to continue training and competing!

Nydia Peake, wrestling mom

I've had this ear compress on since class last night. It feels a lot better. Not as sore as yesterday for sure. It stayed on while I slept and everything.

Anthony “Savage” Prestipino, BJJ enthusiast

I'm so glad I ordered these. My ear didn't swell up overnight after draining like it has in the past.

What is cauliflower ear?

Cauliflower ear is the result of a blood clot (auricular hematoma) caused by a hard impact to the ear. The impact causes the skin to separate from the cartilage giving the ear its shape, and the gap swells up with blood. If left untreated, the blood will thicken and new fibrous tissue will begin to form. After just 7-10 days, the auricular hematoma will harden into a permanently swollen shape resembling a cauliflower or potato.

How long do I need to keep my Earies on?

At least a week after draining. If you can’t take a break from training, wear them underneath your headgear. The additional blood flow from strenuous activity can cause them to swell up again, even if they’re not being directly rubbed.

How large are Earies?

Earies' compression rounds are 3/4" (18mm) in diameter by 1/4" (6mm) thick. The total length, including strap, is 2.5" (63mm).

Where can I buy syringes?

Most national pharmacies carry syringes that can be purchased over the counter without a prescription. Legal restrictions prohibit us from selling them online. For more info on your state, click here.

What kind of syringe should I buy?

A small, 24-28 gauge needle can be used if draining within a day or so. A large gauge, such as 18 or 20, is more appropriate if you’ve waited a few days, because the blood is usually more viscous by then. A 1ml syringe should be sufficient for most minor cases, but if it’s large, you might want to opt for a 3ml.

What’s your return policy?

We stand by the quality of our product. If you’re not satisfied with Earies for any reason, contact us within 60 days for a full refund.

What’s shipping like?

All orders are shipped via US Priority Mail and arrive within 1-3 days. Orders received before 12pm EST are shipped out the same day.

What makes you qualified to do this?

Nothing! We just enjoy BJJ and happen to design products for a living. The method outlined above is to be used at your own risk — if you’re unsure about sticking needles in your ear, go to a clinic!
